Welcome to the website for SCONE. We are a touring sprint car organization with a schedule that presently includes races at two tracks.

These 360 cubic inch, alcohol gulping, fire breathing, winged monsters are the fastest dirt race cars in Northern New England and will be thrilling crowds at Legion Speedway in Wentworth, NH and at Canaan Dirt Speedway in Canaan, NH throughout the summer of 2008.

SCONE will have a race card of 15 Saturday night point races at their home track of Legion Speedway with an additional 5 point races at Canaan Dirt Speedway. There will be a car show, test and tune day at each track; Canaan’s on May 3rd, Legion’s on May 10th. These days will give the racers an opportunity to “sort out” their rides prior to the first points race. Spectators will have a chance to see these cars up close and talk to the drivers during these free shows. There will be a Mechanics night, a Sprint Car fun day and an Open Competition race in the fall at Legion Speedway. There will also be an Open Competition race at Canaan in the fall.

Last year SCONE had a full season of Saturday night races at Legion with 3 additional non-points races at Canaan and had a total of 14 drivers registered. The action was fast and furious with plenty of passing and side-by-side, and sometimes 3 wide racing. There were 8 feature winners with Clay Dow, Mark Cole and Shawn Lawler winning 3 times and Mike Kondrat winning twice.

This year SCONE has 17 drivers registered to date. Included in this total are SCONE president “Iron” Mike Kondrat, past points champion Mark “King” Cole, defending points champion Shawn Lawler, and 3 time Empire Super Sprints feature winner Donny Sharp, Jr.
